IPE

IPE (pronounced as ”e-pay” ) or Brazilian IPE wood or Brazilian walnut is a type of hardwood imported from South America. Its density is nearly double as compared to other woods, is up to 5 times harder and lasts up to 100 years.

IPE is pure natural wood and thus may last up to 50 years without replacement. Structures made of Ipe wood are resistant to weather, insects, decay, and abrasion, therefore require negligible maintenance with oiling in a fixed span of time.

It is widely used as an element to add grace in residential and commercial spaces. Its applications are in decking, outdoor cladding, gates, planters, pergola, etc.
